APRIL –

2ndApril 2011Mothers meet.

Visualizing the importance of mothers and their role in the development of their children, Vivekanand Mission School took an initiative to highlight the dignity of mothers. The problems of mothers towards their children were focused. Mothers also expressed their views towards their children.

15thApril 2011Science exhibition.

To identify the scientific nack and understanding of children, a science exhibition was organized. The students with the help of their teachers, seniors and peers prepared the scientific models and expressed their scientific ideas and skills. Some of the working models prepared by the students were useful in day to day life also.

22ndApril 2011 –BIHAR DIVAS CELEBRATION:-

To mark the centenary year for formation of Bihar as new state Bihar divas was celebrated with great fervor. The students equipped with banners and posters highlighting the dignity of this region made a human chain. The Kids expressed the sanctity of the state in poetic words. The dignitaries of the town greeted and appreciated the students for their move. A colorful programme was also organized.

31st May 2011- WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY

The world no tobacco day was observed by organizing seminar, speech, and debates in the campus highlighting the harmful effects of using tobacco. The students in their oral expressions pleaded for a complete ban on production, use and sale of tobacco. Some of the children displayed its harmful effects through paintings also.

JULY-

3RD JULY 2011- VAN MAHOTASAVA CELEBRATION

Since the month of July every year is declared for environmental awareness and other social drives, it is being celebrated as “ATMODAYA PAKHWARA” comprising environmental, sanitation and educational awareness drives. Started with the celebration of van mahotasava on 3rd July 2011 by planting trees in the campus and organizing different activities like painting, essay and speech competitions, A team of 40 students (Boys and Girls) and 3 teachers equipped with banners, posters and seedlings proceeded towards the villages. They spread the message of green earth and focused on the importance of plantation, cleanliness and education in our life. They motivated the masses to send their children to schools as education is the solution of all their plights. This campaign will continue on every Saturday of this month.

4thJuly 2011– PUNYA TITHI OF SWAMI VIVEKANAND

Swami ji is our ideal and a continuous source of inspiration for our efforts to make a truly educated society by spreading the fragrance of education to the villages. His punya tithi was observed with simplicity by offering floral tributes to departed soul and organizing essay, speech and debate competitions. Students in their oral expressions focused the importance of self awareness, self confidence, self reliant and valued thoughts of swami ji.They took oath to develop their personality by adopting the ideals laid by swami Vivekananda.

AUGUST-13thAugust 2011– RAKSHA BANDHAN CELEBRATION

To develop the concept of Brotherhood and care for each of the school mates, the Raksha bandhan will be organized in the campus. Girl students will tie up the “RAKSHA SUTRA” to the boy students. It will work as a cementing force among them and renew our old tradition. Sweets will also be distributed among the students.

15THAugust 2011– The Independence Day celebration

To understand and know the importance of freedom in our life and to keep it protected the Independence Day will be celebrated by hosting national flag. Speech and debate competitions to highlight the sacrifices done by our freedom fighter will also be organized. The teachers and peers will make understand the student the real meaning of freedom, fundamental rights and duties. A cultural programme and sports activities will also be organized. The students will also participate in different events organized by sub-divisional administrations.

SEPTEMBER-

5THSeptember 2011– TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION

To mark the contributions of “SARVAPALLI RADHAKRISHANAN” in the field of education as a teacher and his dedication towards the students in their upliftment,the teachers day will be celebrated with great fervor and enthusiasm on 5th September 2011. Speech competition and a colorful cultural programme will be organized. A friendly teacher’s v/s student’s tournament will also be organized. The students will manage the academic schedule and complete schooling system for the day. The celebration will aim at to develop a healthy sense among the student towards teachers and dedication of teachers towards students and education.

OCTOBER-

2ndOctober 2011– GANDHI JAYANTI

The birthday of the father of the nation will be celebrated on 2nd October by organizing floral offerings, Bhajn recitation and speech competition throwing light on teachings of MAHATMA GANDHI. A cultural programme will also be organized.

NOVEMBER

14THNovember 2011– CHILDRENS DAY CELEBRATION

The birthday of our first prime minister and the architect of modern India PANDIT JAWAHAR LAL NEHRU will be celebrated as children’s day on 14th November. A cultural programme will be organized in which students will display their talents in performing arts, music, and dancing. Some indoor and outdoor games will also be organized and the best performers will be suitably awarded.

DECEMBEr-

10THDecember 2011The human rights day will be celebrated on 10th December by organizing speech and debate competition. The students will highlight the importance of human rights in modern society. A short excursion will also be organized to some places of historical importance.

JANUARY

12THJanuary 2011– National Youth Day

To visualize the strength of youth power the national youth day will be celebrated on 12th January, the birthday of swami Vivekananda. A pushpanjali followed by cultural programme will be organized on the occasion. The students will display the intensity of youth power through different activities. A Small exhibition of works on swami Vivekananda and his guru sri Ramakrishna paramhans will also be organized.

26thJanuary 2011–THE REPUBLIC DAY

To commemorate India as the republic day will be celebrated on 26th Janauary.The prabhat pheri will be taken out by the students and national flag will be hoisted. The students will highlight the pillars of democracy as liberty, equality and justice through their speech and essays. A colorful jhanki followed by march past with rampa, lasium,dumble, and dandia will be presented in the sub-divisional ground by the students.The students will participate in the cultural programme in the evening organized by local administrations.

MARCH-

31STMarch 2011– THE ANNUAL AWARDS DAY

A programme for ending the ensuing session and commencement of the new academic session will be organized on 31st march. This day will also be celebrated as the annual awards day in which the students, in a colorful programme ,will be awarded for their performances and achievements in different fields which they displayed throughout the year.
